We feel that good design doesnt just apply to the projects, it applies to the company itself.  We have a few guideposts for how we think of work and how we lead the company.

Our design process is simple.  Nothing more than it needs to be.    Dieter Rams Ten Tenants of Good Design is at the core of our design sensibilities. Design is the most important part of what we do.

 

Simple, timeless and durable are some of the adjectives that have been used to describe our work.

 

When we design, we strip away all the unnecessary details, until we are left with as little design as possible, We are left with minimalism and the feeling of timelessness. This allows the materials we use to show their natural beauty.

We use only domesic timber and plywood.  We work with sawyers and timbermills to get as close to the source as possible.

We started the company with a steel fabrication shop and realized soon thereafter that we needed to add wood to our designs to "balance" the feeling.

 

Steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world an wood is just - well its wood. We place wood where you touch and steel where you need the strength.
